Denise Wypiszenski - KAR Strategic Partner
Denise Wypiszenski serves as President of Orchid Network LLC, an executive search and consulting firm, and as a KAR Consulting Strategic Partner. As a strategic partner, she acts in a consultative role to provide strategic direction and to expand the company’s footprint by connecting KAR Consulting with wealth management and asset management companies where needs exist for advisory transition and pricing initiatives. Before founding Orchid Network LLC, Denise spent over 17 years in the financial services industry. Most recently, she was Chief Operating Officer / Managing Director of Robert W. Baird's Private Wealth Management (PWM) business. She oversaw Financial Advisor and Branch Manager recruiting and transition, resulting in the identification and hiring of key talent essential to expanding Baird's footprint nationwide. She helped shape and communicate PWM's strategy to key business partners. Denise also had direct responsibility for critical strategic initiatives including alignment of product and services support, professional development, marketing and sales efforts, and business development. Denise started her career in 1993 as a successful Financial Advisor with Smith Barney in Omaha, NE. Throughout her career, and several relocations with MSSB (and predecessor firms), she was promoted to several senior/executive management positions ranging from branch and sales management to recruiting and operations. Her successful career followed the path of Financial Advisor, National Training Officer, Branch Management, Director of National Recruiting, and COO - Western Division. Denise is a member of the Commercial Advisory Board for Pinstripe Inc., an RPO provider. She holds a BSBA degree from the University of NE at Omaha where she graduated cum laude with a double major in Finance and Banking. She currently resides in Naperville, IL, with her husband, Joe, and two children, a high-school sophomore, and a freshman at Miami University of OH.
John P. Cianciulli, President of Team Edge Consulting, designs and delivers consulting and coaching solutions for Wealth Advisory firms and teams in the
financial services industry. John has over 20 years of industry experience with Morgan Stanley and predecessor firms. In his most recent role as the Director of
Team Development and Practice Management, John led the firm’s initiatives to form and develop industry-leading Wealth Advisory teams. He was the
architect and keynote presenter at several of the firm’s Financial Advisor programs and he has personally coached many of the firm’s top producing advisors
and teams, including those in the Barron’s Top 100. In John’s previous roles as a successful Smith Barney Financial Advisor, Branch Manager, Team Consultant
and Manager of FAA Training, he gained hands-on experience that has provided insights into the strategies, tactics and behaviors that distinguish the
industry’s top performers. John utilizes his certification as a Certified Professional Behavioral and Values Analyst to guide teams with their group dynamics, role
delineation and communication. John has an MBA in Finance from Drexel University and a BA in Business from Penn State.
Dan Umansky - VP, FA Business Model Consultant
Dan Umansky serves as a Business Model Consultant for KAR Consulting. His role is to assist financial advisors in shaping the future of their business models through our coaching programs. Dan brings over 23 years of financial services industry experience to the KAR coaching team. Prior to joining KAR, Dan was a Vice President of Business Consulting for LPL financial. He led a team of practice management consultants for a region comprised of 19 states, 420 branches and 2000 advisors and focused on assisting advisors in envisioning, designing and growing their ideal practices. Dan started his career as a sales assistant at Merrill Lynch before spending several years in production at Wells Fargo. He transitioned his career attention to working directly with advisors, assisting them with enhancing their knowledge, skill sets and motivation in his role as an advisor trainer and wholesaler with Essex Corporation. Dan also spent 8 years with AIG as a wholesaler and RVP, Business Development for AIG Financial Advisors where he designed and delivered coaching programs for branches and individual advisors. Dan lives in San Diego with his wife and 9 year old daughter, Molly.
Lynda Green - VP, FA Business Model Consultant
Lynda serves as a Business Model Consultant for KAR Consulting. Her role is to assist financial advisors in shaping the future of their business models through our coaching programs. Lynda brings over 23 years of financial services experience to KAR. In 1989, she started as a Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch in Los Angeles, CA. She transitioned her business to Smith Barney where she built a substantial consultative financial and retirement planning practice. Lynda has spent the last 12 years in various management roles on the East Coast and in the Midwest. She has worked with 1000s of advisors to grow their businesses, run more efficient practices and increase their competencies in her roles as a Divisional and National Training Officer, a Branch Manager, and a Business Development Manager, and at one point was responsible for leading the team of officers of the firm’s Professional Development Group. Lynda holds a BS degree in mathematics from UCLA. Prior to the financial services industry, she was a financial analyst for CBS/MTM Studios and an associate engineer on the space shuttle at Rockwell International. Lynda currently resides in Birmingham, MI, with her husband, Mike. They have four-year old twins, and a junior at Chaminade University.
Our Marketing and Support
Kammy McClurg serves as an FA Business Model Associate as well as our phone receptionist. She is responsible for office management, hospitality, scheduling and confirming meetings, and preparing materials for all workshop programs, speaking engagement presentations and coaching engagements. In addition, she provides support to the firm’s consultants, specialists and marketing function by handling key administrative and servicing functions. She oversees the firm’s marketing and social media plans and project implementation; client communications and appreciation activities; event management and community involvement, all with an eye on keeping our clients’ experience at the forefront. In this role, she supports the development and management of the company. Ever focused on the team approach, Kammy continually looks for ways to align details with people for a positive client experience. Kammy joined KAR in 2011 with more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including guest and policy servicing as GM of a private restaurant corporation in Nashville. She enjoys walking her dog along Lake Michigan, reading autobiographies and global travel. Her passions include theater patronage and giggling with her nieces and nephew. Kammy is a Northern California native who enjoys exploring the great city of Chicago.
